The Justice Project is working to increase fairness and accuracy in the criminal justice system. TJP develops, coordinates, and implements integrated national and state-based campaigns involving public education, litigation and legislation to reform the criminal justice system, with particular focus on capital punishment. Our work is supported by thousands of grassroots supporters nationwide.

TJP identifies solutions to one of the most pressing problems in the American criminal justice system: the rising incidence of people being wrongfully sentenced to death. Our work brings to the attention of American citizens and legislators at state and federal levels the far too dramatic gaps that still exist between American principles of justice and the actual practice of the criminal justice system in daily life.
