Internship Announcements
The Justice Project is comprised of two nonpartisan organizations dedicated to fighting injustice and to creating a more humane and just world. The Justice Project, Inc., a 501c(4) organization, works with its sister organization, The Justice Project Education Fund, a 501c(3) organization, to address unfairness and inaccuracy in the American criminal justice system. Together, the organizations develop, coordinate, and implement integrated national and state-based campaigns involving public education, litigation, legislative and non-legislative policy to reform the criminal justice system, with particular focus on the capital punishment system. Both organizations are located in the same office space, and interns will work for both organizations simultaneously throughout their tenure.
All interns will gain a diverse experience during their time at The Justice Project. Interns will contribute to the daily operations of the office and will develop and implement research, writing and/or communications work based on the needs of other members of the staff. Interns will find some opportunities to attend briefings and meetings, as well as to make important contacts. Most importantly, interns will become part of the The Justice Project team, working with a handful of talented individuals on integrated campaigns to help address problems of unfairness and inaccuracy in the criminal justice system in this country. Interns will assist in programmatic, communications and marketing & development work. Thus, qualified candidates must be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
